Birmingham had always been a strong destination for conference and convention buyers but the perceptions of the city had been poor. Together with our marketing partners we set out to create a 12 month awareness campaign for the ‘new’ Birmingham enforcing their recent investment and redevelopment programme. lime created the ‘think again’ campaign, challenging the preconceptions of the buyers, revealing Birmingham’s heritage and the modern city through direct mail, advertising media placement, trade exhibitions, leaflets and online activity. Campaign results showed qualified enquiries had increased by up to 70%.
Telford and Shropshire
With a great product but a relatively low profile in a highly competitive market, Telford and Shropshire found it challenging to attract conference and incentive buyers to the area. Working with our marketing partners, lime developed a new brand philosophy - ‘breathing space’ - that highlighted what is truly unique about the destination for corporate buyers through an engaging strapline ‘Come to where ideas happen’.
The results from the co-ordinated media schedule and cohesive email and marketing campaign encouraged greater interest and revenue from business tourism into the region. Enquiries increased by over 300% after just three months of activity.
Emap Glenigan Communications
Media company Emap Communications, of Emap Glenigan, needed to generate cost-effective new leads and compete more effectively against its competitors in the construction information marketplace. Jointly with our marketing partners, lime repackaged their existing product to introduce more tangible business benefits for subscribers and through direct mail, trade press, emails and telemarketing, responses increased by 700% whilst cost per response fell 50%, allowing for the launch of new channels and products.
